P&O Britannia’s Float Out
Posted in: News
Our Director Terry McGillicuddy attended the P&O Britannia’s float out at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. The new cruise liner interior is designed in its entirety by Richmond International. The ceremony marked the moment when the dry-dock, home to the Britannia during her build, was flooded and she made contact with the sea for the first time. The ship – P&O Cruises’ largest ship – was blessed, and a bottle of prosecco was smashed against her hull by the madrina, a lady who ceremonially names and launches a ship.
