Richmond project Iona featured in the latest Starboard issue

Having previously worked with P&O on Britannia, Richmond International was entrusted with the vessel’s accommodation. “Britannia’s interior design concept was based around the brief of a five-star hotel at sea, whereas Iona’s direction is British contemporary luxury,” says Director Terry McGillicuddy, explaining how Iona differs from her predecessor.
Contemporary and stylish, the cabins feature classic nautical accents with clean lines and a colour palette of natural hues complemented by soft furnishings in navy and gold. New for Iona are the Conservatory Mini-Suite cabins, which continue the theme of bringing the outside in thanks to the introduction of an additional conservatory space that can be closed off from the main cabin or opened up to create a direct connection with sea. An L-shaped sofa offers the ideal setting for a morning coffee or pre-dinner drinks with uninterrupted views. Completing the accommodation offer are the premium suites, which feature a spacious lounge characterised by muted sandy tones and contemporary styling that channels the spirit and elegance of a luxury yacht.
